My trainer in focus today is Charles Byrnes , who has had 4 winners in his last 8 runners , a 50% win strike-rate. He has one runner today , Deal Or No Deal , Listowel 2:20 , and is certainly worth a market check.

My race trace today goes to Jim Bloger who runs John Veale in the 5:40 Naas. He has won this race 2 times in the past 6 years , a 33% win strike-rate and could be a good e/w bet.

I have 3 selections today.........

My first selection runs in the 2:45 Folkestone , AROUNDTHEBAY. This horse is out of form but has been running in top company. The last time it won a race was last year over C+D so that is a plus. More positives are that it is down in grade and back t its optimum trip. Interestingly when Richard Hughes has rode for H J L Dunlop here he is 2/2 , a 100% win strike-rate so is worth noting ad could go well at a price.

My second bet today runs in the 3:40 Naas , SOLE POWER. This is a very capable horse and to put a long story short if it reproduces its 4th to Equiano lately in a Group 3 it should take this race handy enough. Very interestingly when PJ Smullen rides for E Lynam at this track this year he is 2/2 , a 100% win strike rate and this horse i feel should win.

My final bet today comes in the Windsor 8:30 , FRENCH ART. This horse won off 4 pound higher at Pontefract last April. Its last run was not very inspiring but what really interests me is Kieran Fallon taking the mount today. When Fallon teams up with Tinkler this season he is 2/2 , a 100% win strike rate so this horse could go close today.
